The Bowling Green Racers got a superb performance from third baseman Jose Serrano, but the Scranton Escape still won the game, 7-4. Serrano was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dave Garcia, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-0. The Escape, now 11-3, have been on fire in the early going.
Yoshihiro Takahashi aided the Scranton cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with a double.
