Coal Miners Knock Off Caterpillars at The Coal Mine

Getting a good performance from designated hitter Víctor Sandoval, the Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Peoria Caterpillars, 6-3. Sandoval was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Coal Miners. Javier Galindo got the save, the 4th for him this season. It was the 7th win in 11 games this year for the defending champion Coal Miners, who are picking up where they left off.
One important at-bat for Antioch came with two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Sandoval hit a 2-run double, which contributed to the Coal Miners win.
"They played a better game than we did," said Peoria skipper Roberto Martínez.
