Peoria and Billings got after it at Cobb Field.
The Peoria Caterpillars put together a convincing win at Cobb Field, defeating the Billings Mustangs, 11-2. Andy Levine was one of the hitting stars. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Peoria. The Caterpillars raised their record to 6-2.
The Caterpillars had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the seventh. The score was 7-2, Peoria, with no one out. Billings, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Pete Rowland dug in at the plate, but on a 1-0 curveball, he hit into a double play.
