The bats were silent much of the day at Ashton Gate. But Richard Ndadaye conjured up just enough offense to carry the Escape past the Silver Lake Baristas, 3-1. Ndadaye was 4-4 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 times. Scranton reliever Bobby Lucio picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Joe Hutchins was saddled with the loss. Máximo Larreta closed the game out for Scranton, earning his 2nd save.
In the top of the second, Maziba Adeyemi hit a run-scoring double for Scranton. The 3rd double of the season for the Scranton center fielder put the Escape on top, 1-0.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Scranton manager Julián Cancil.
The win lifts Scranton to a record of 6-2.
