Freeze Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
It was a good time at The Ice Box, where fans came to watch the Detroit Death Stars and Minneapolis Freeze get after it.

A 3-RBI performance from right fielder Yen-nien Tong led the Minneapolis Freeze to a 14-7 win over the Detroit Death Stars. Curt Hart, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Death Stars to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 5. Yoshiki Sato earned the save, his 1st.

Tong in the bottom of the fifth had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Freeze leading 6-5, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Tong.

Minneapolis is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 7 games.
