Billings left fielder Miguel de la Rosa had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 8-3 win over the Peoria Caterpillars. Billings reliever Taheiji Ohayashi was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Luis Domínguez. Losses have been few and far between for the Caterpillars so far this season. Their record drops to 4-2.

Billings took a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, first baseman Way-ming Wang hit a 3-run home run that fired up the crowd.

"They played a better game than we did," said Peoria skipper Roberto Martínez.
