Baristas Rally For Late Win Over Escape
|
The Silver Lake Baristas topped the Scranton Escape, 4-2, in Nick Adenhart League action at Ashton Gate. The player of the game was Silver Lake pitcher and Wolverhampton, England native Douggie Pitchford. Silver Lake reliever Cyprien Bataille was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Joe Kenner took the loss for Scranton. Losses have been rare for the Escape, who are now 5-1.
Silver Lake first baseman Pedro García helped the Baristas go up, 4-2, in the bottom of the eighth inning. With the game tied, García hit a 2-run double off Scranton pitcher Joe Kenner.
"We put together a nice win," Pitchford said.
