Canadians Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
The Vancouver Canadians stymied the Canton Paczkis, 5-2, at Stanley Park. Dolf Versluis, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Vancouver. Po-sin Pang, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-0. The Canadians, with only their 1st win in 6 games, have not had much to write home about in 2032.
In the bottom of the 4th, the Canadians grabbed the lead on a two-out home run by Armando Ramos. Vancouver at the time was trailing 2-1, but Ramos's 2-run home run off Leonard Lee put his team in front.
"The most important thing is that we won," Ramos said.
