Detroit and Minneapolis got after it at The Ice Box.
Despite a great performance by Minneapolis center fielder Gerardo Avilés, the Detroit Death Stars defeated the Freeze by the score of 8-6 at The Ice Box. Avilés went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 4 runs. Raul Nunez picked up the save, his 3rd.
In the top of the second inning, right fielder Anthony Miller came through big-time for the Death Stars. With Detroit leading 5-3, he belted a 2-run home run.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Miller.
Detroit has a record of 3-4.
