5 Straight Wins for Escape
The Scranton Escape got a stellar performance from pitcher Monty Burns, who handcuffed the Fairfield offense en route to a 5-1 win at Hell Stadium. In 6.1 innings, Burns surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The Escape, now 5-0, have stormed out of the gates.

In the bottom of the first, Pat Hartley hit a run-scoring single for Scranton. The 9th hit of the season for the Scranton third baseman put the Escape on top, 2-1.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Scranton manager Julián Cancil.
