The Albuquerque Cacti buried the Fort Worth Cats, 12-1, under a barrage of hits. Shigochiyo Sato led the onslaught, going 3-for-5 for Albuquerque. Albuquerque, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.

Sato put Albuquerque up, 10-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Juan Carlos Baraja in the bottom of the fifth. His 2nd home run of the season helped the Cacti capture the win.

"They took us to the woodshed," said Fort Worth manager Lowell Wise.
