The Escape faced a stiff challenge from Fairfield pitcher Joe Gillard, but persevered to claim a win at Hell Stadium. The final score was 4-3. Gillard went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Scranton reliever Chan De was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Kagera Sokoine. Scranton, now 4-0, is setting the league on fire so far.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Dylan Light hit a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 6th hit of the season and with it the Escape took a 4-2 lead.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Fairfield skipper Gary Altman, "and it cost us."
