The Scranton Escape defeated the Fairfield Flash, 8-3. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Il-hwan Kim, who went 4 for 4 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk. The Escape, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.

Kadambi Patterjee put Scranton in front, 2-1, when he took Bi`nh Trieu downtown. His 2-run home run came with no one out in the bottom of the first. It was his 2nd home run of the season.

"We came out aggressive," said Escape manager Julián Cancil. "We came out swinging the bats."
