Sasquatch Pin 5-2 Loss on Aces
|
Seattle pitcher Garth Daniels did his part in helping his team beat the Columbus Aces, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Daniels, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. Dennis Montgomery got credit for the save for Seattle. It was his 1st of the year.
Going deep for Seattle was Kazuyoshi Takahashi. The third baseman had a solo home run in the top of the second inning for the Sasquatch. It put his team ahead, 1-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Takahashi went 1-4 with a home run and a walk.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Takahashi told the Seattle Observer.
The Aces, now 7-9, continue their sluggish start.
