Marauders Lose to Bombers, 4-1
|
The South Carolina Bombers topped the Maple Marauders, 4-1, in Thurman Munson League action at Bomber Ballpark. The player of the game was South Carolina pitcher and Yokohama, Japan native Sotatsu Hayagawa. The Bombers bumped their record to 92-67 with this latest triumph.
Had Shawn Harris not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Harris hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Bombers.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Hayagawa.
