Marauders Keep Streak Alive With 4-2 Win
|
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Kojuro Ine, the Maple Marauders defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 4-2. Ine was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Marauders. Marcos León earned the save for Maple, his 5th. The win was the 13th in 16 games this season for the Marauders, who appear to be on course for a return trip to the playoffs.
Ine contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Maple get the win.
"I expect to carry this team on my shoulders at times," said Ine.
