Texans Stick Beavers with 5-4 Loss
|
The rain at Waterfront Park did not keep Dallas and Portland from finishing their game.
The Dallas Texans knocked off the Portland Beavers, 5-4, at Waterfront Park. Masamichi Fujita, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Dallas won. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Texans raised their record to 85-73.
Fujita contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Dallas get the win.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Portland manager Ryan Blandford said following the tough loss.
