Grays Lose Again, 5-2, to Hornets
|
Eureka Hornets starter Mitsunari Kobayashi turned in an exceptional performance against the Georgia Grays at The Death Star, resulting in a Eureka win, 5-2. Kobayashi got the win, improving to 17-10. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. Kobayashi allowed 2 earned runs. Ashoka Pancholi, credited with the save, is now 39 for 42 in save opportunities.
Doing his part for Eureka was right fielder Mike McCaw, who stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth. For the game, McCaw went 2-2 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Good pitching stops good hitting," said McCaw. "And vice-versa."
The losses continue to mount for Georgia, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
