Armada Saddle Tornadoes with 4-1 Loss
|
The Quebec Armada went home winners at Debris Field, thanks in large part to starter Adhipa Vemireddy. Vemireddy silenced the Kansas City Tornadoes, enabling Quebec to grab the 4-1 win. Vemireddy went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 12-9. Joachim Doucet earned his 39th save in 44 chances.
Going deep for Quebec was Dong Kan. The catcher had a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning for the Armada. It put his team ahead, 3-1, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Kan went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Kan said. "That's how it goes."
Quebec has now won 3 in a row.
