Mile High and Eureka got after it at The Nest.
Mile High Mustangs starter Jose Albertrani was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Eureka Hornets, 6-3. The winning pitcher was Albertrani, now 14-12. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, José Rea, hit a 2-run double. It helped Mile High seize the win.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Albertrani.
The Mustangs move to 81-72 with the win, while the Hornets drop to 88-66.
