Garrett Hurls Hawaii to Shutout Victory
In a splendid 9-0 shutout performance, Alexis Garrett of the Hawaii Islanders subdued the Brooklyn Black Knights on a 2-hitter.

"He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes, so I kept sending him out there," Hawaii manager Leland Ray said in postgame comments.
