Brooklyn third baseman Kanzaburo Takahashi had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 12-7 win over the Hawaii Islanders. Brooklyn starter Chang-wei Zhou was credited with the win after throwing 95 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 2-3. Cong Foong earned the save, his 4th.

A key moment came when Takahashi faced Hawaii hurler Sae-wan Yi in the bottom of the fourth. The Black Knights, who were trailing 4-3, had the bases loaded. Takahashi got a first pitch fastball and hit a bases-clearing double.

"We played hard and won," said Takahashi. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

The third-place Black Knights raised their record to 83-71.
