The Havana Stogies had no problem beating the Columbus Aces, 11-2, at Central Park Downtown Stadium. John Oakes led the way. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Havana. Diego Santiago was the winner. Over 7.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. This win makes it 5 in a row for Havana.

Fernando Cruz had a nice at-bat for the Stogies with one out in the top of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the center fielder hit a 3-run home run, which would prove important in the Havana win.
