Earthquakes Go Down to Defeat, 6-1
|
Pitcher Khurshid Durrani was sensational for the Maple Marauders in his team's 6-1 triumph over the San Francisco Earthquakes. Durrani received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Durrani went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-5. Maple, at 89-62, sits in second place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
Andreas Kubel broke a 0-0 tie in the top of the second with a bases-clearing double. It put the Marauders in front, 3-0. For the game, Kubel went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI.
