Rhinos Come Back Late to Top Black Knights
Rubber City starter James Thompson pitched effectively against the Brooklyn Black Knights at Blue Ivy Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-2 win. The winner was Anupradana Agarkar in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ti-an Dan took the loss. Picking up the save was Shinzo Sasaki, his 4th.

Avatsara Sangameswar's at-bat with no one out in the top of the ninth was critical. The Rubber City third baseman hit a run-scoring double, to put his team on top, 3-2. Runs were at a premium and this one was huge.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Rubber City skipper Larry Johnson.

The win brings the Rhinos to 10-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
