Republic Get 9-6 Win Versus Rubber City
Two good teams met in a late-season showdown at House of the Republic.

Rubber City right fielder Aidan Turgoose had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rhinos dropped a 9-6 decision to So Cal at House of the Republic. Turgoose was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. So Cal reliever Lloyd Hunt was the winner. His record is now 8-0. James Thompson took the loss. Pin-zhen Au earned the save for So Cal, his 29th of the year.

Unsurprisingly, the biggest moment for the Republic came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the seventh, Drake Ramsey, who is tied for 9th in the RCL with a .303 batting average, hit a 2-run double to put the Republic up, 6-5. For the game, the catcher was 2-5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Ramsey told the So Cal Daily.

The Republic, at 101-50, have a comfortable 16½-game lead in their division.
