Rea Helps Mile High Outscore Kansas City
|
The Mile High Mustangs outscored the Kansas City Tornadoes, 16-13. José Rea led the way, going 3-for-4 for Mile High. Doyle Sullivan, credited with the win, is now 5-1. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 0.2 innings. Quan Que, credited with the save, is now 30 for 34 in save opportunities.
One of the clutch hits for Mile High came from one of their biggest talents. In the top of the ninth with no one out, Denzel Kemsley, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in hits with 199, hit a 2-run home run to put the Mustangs up, 15-13. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
Kansas City manager Glenn Rowe said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score that many runs, you expect to win the game."
Mile High goes to 78-71, Kansas City to 57-95.
