Texans Need Extras to Top Rhinos

The skies opened up and the rain fell at The Rubber Grounds.
The Dallas Texans trumped the Rubber City Rhinos, 5-3, at The Rubber Grounds. Dallas shortstop Esteban Ruíz was named player of the game for his performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Dallas reliever Adrien Clément was the winner. His record is now 1-0. John Cosman took the loss.
It could have been a different outcome for Dallas, had it not been for Tsunayoshi Ito, the 24-year old left fielder . Ito contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 13th inning to put Dallas up, 5-3.
Ito told a Dallas Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Dallas is now 1-1.
