Earthquakes Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
San Francisco rode a fine outing from starter Donkal Ubriani to victory over the Bloomington Blazers at Golden Gate Park. The final score was 6-2. The save was credited to Javier Galindo, his 1st. The Earthquakes, at 63-86, have now won 4 straight.
With two out in the bottom of the first, Juan López lit into a fastball from Graeme Hughes for a 2-run home run. That made the score 2-0 in favor of the Earthquakes. For the day, López went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Donkal was Donkal," said Earthquakes manager Julián Flores. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
