Pioneers Continue Skid Thanks to Leeder, Marauders
The Maple Marauders defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 7-1, in Thurman Munson League action at Legends Park. Gerard Leeder received player of the game honors. The 11-year veteran hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Vancouver, at 80-70, has lost 4 straight.

Leeder came through with some timely hitting for Maple. With the score 0-0 in the bottom of the first and no one down, Leeder hit a 3-1 cutter for a 2-run home run. His 28th home run of the season made it 2-0, Maple.
