Schmit Pitches South Carolina to Shutout Victory
Ange Schmit was throwing strikes early and getting in the count, his manager said after the South Carolina Bombers hurler tossed a 4-hit, complete game shutout against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros.

"I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Schmit. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings."

Schmit walked 0 and struck out 9 in the 6-0 victory.
