Rhinos Lose to Beavers, 7-2
|
Portland Beavers starter Félix Reina was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Rubber City Rhinos, 7-2. The winning pitcher was Reina, now 4-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The win brings the Beavers to 6-10, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Ralph Blair contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double. It was one at-bat that propelled Portland to the win.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Reina.
