Both teams had their chances, but the Maple Marauders eventually prevailed at Legends Park.

The Maple Marauders racked up a win at Legends Park, bumping off the Vancouver Pioneers, 4-3. Umarah Abdul-Quddus, who started for Maple, pitched effectively for his team. Hariz Sahir got credit for the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Marcos León, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 28th save.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Maple designated hitter Jae-hoon Park hit a run-scoring single, helping his team get the win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Maple manager Jesús Alfaro.

Maple is now riding a 3-game win streak.
