Tamura Sends Havana Bats to Deep Freeze
|
In a very sharp performance at House of the Republic, Masafumi Tamura of the So Cal Republic blanked the Havana Stogies, 7-0. He permitted 2 hits and finished with 9 strikeouts and no walks in the Republic victory.
"Masafumi goes out there and just goes about his business," Republic manager Munenori Sato said in his postgame press conference. "I don't think he gets too concerned about what's going on. No matter the pitch, you know he's going to be where he needs to be."
This year Tamura has worked 213.2 innings with 184 strikeouts en route to a 16-9 record and 3.58 ERA.
