In a tight contest at Field de Los Layendas, the Cabo San Lucas Toreros edged the Quebec Armada by the score of 7-6. Cabo San Lucas catcher Barry Ross, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Reliever Tony Varela picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Mitsuo Kobayashi took the loss. Cabo San Lucas is 5th in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division with a record of 68-79.
An impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Pete Rowland, hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 6-5, Cabo San Lucas, and helped them go on to win.
