Mustangs Defeat Blazers, 4-1
|
The Mile High Mustangs went home winners at McNichols Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Cory McCoy. McCoy silenced the Bloomington Blazers, enabling Mile High to grab the 4-1 win. McCoy picked up the win for Mile High, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. With the win, the Mustangs have a record of 76-68.
Héctor Cabrera was a key contributor to the win for the Mustangs. In the bottom of the third with one out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to right. He went 1 for 4.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Cabrera.
