Earthquakes Lose to Prowlers, 4-2
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Oklahoma City Prowlers got the win.
The Oklahoma City Prowlers got a stellar effort from pitcher Manny Calderón, helping Oklahoma City score a 4-2 win over the visiting San Francisco Earthquakes. Calderón, now 3-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Shu-yaan Qi earned his 20th save in 22 chances.
Hae-nim Kim put Oklahoma City in front, 4-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Eric Markle in the bottom of the eighth. It was his 7th home run of the season.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Calderón said.
Oklahoma City currently is in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 63-84.
