Texans Fall to Roman, Islanders
|
A 3-RBI performance from Antonio Roman, who is tied for 3rd in the RCL in total bases with 307, helped the Hawaii Islanders beat the Dallas Texans, 6-4. Allen Cox was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. The second-place Islanders lifted their record to 89-55.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Katsuhiko Shimizu went deep for the Islanders. With Hawaii leading 2-1, he drilled a 2-run home run.
Roman told a Hawaii Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
