Mustangs Suffer Blowout Loss to Republic
The So Cal Republic had no problem beating the Mile High Mustangs, 11-2, at House of the Republic. Jong-min Kim Jr. led the way. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for So Cal. Mike Bouffard was credited with the save for So Cal, his 2nd of the season. The first-place Republic have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

There were several reasons the Republic beat the Mustangs, but one factor was Tofeeq Kuchis. In the bottom of the fourth, the So Cal shortstop came to bat and hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.

"I wouldn't want to be playing us right now," said So Cal manager Munenori Sato.
