Kansas City beat Columbus in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Kansas City Tornadoes starter Jin-ho Chin was in fine form against the Columbus Aces at Central Park Downtown Stadium, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Chin picked up the win for Kansas City, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-10.
This game was not decided until Jorge Hernández came to bat in the top of the ninth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, the Kansas City catcher hit a sacrifice fly. The Tornadoes took the lead, 4-3.
"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Hernández.
The Tornadoes are now 54-91, while the Aces fall to 58-85.
