5 Straight Wins for Toreros
|
The rain could not keep the Metroplex Park crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and the Dallas Texans, Jesús Ramos was the difference-maker. The Cabo San Lucas right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-1 win. Amirtharaj Nagaraja earned the save, his 12th, for the Toreros.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and one out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when second baseman Damian Hoolahan, who is tied for 7th in the TML in home runs with 28, hit a sacrifice fly. The Toreros went on to win.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Cabo San Lucas manager Matt Johnson.
The 5th-place Toreros have won 5 straight.
