So Cal Wins, Latulippe belts 2 home runs

Another day, another victory for the red-hot So Cal Republic.
The So Cal Republic defeated the Mile High Mustangs, 9-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at House of the Republic. Donald Latulippe received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. So Cal starter Tanner Johnson was credited with the win after throwing 107 pitches over 9 innings. His record now stands at 20-5.
With the game tied, 0-0, in the bottom of the second, Latulippe had a key at-bat for So Cal. With a runner on 1st, Latulippe, who won the Most Valuable Player Award in 2030, hit a 2-run home run off Sylvester Richardson, making the score 2-0, Republic.
"We feel like we're going to win every game right now," said So Cal skipper Munenori Sato.
The first-place Republic have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
