The Brooklyn Black Knights and starting pitcher Tomás Bravo stifled the New York offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at Don Corleone Park. The Mafia, now 6-10, continue their poor start.

Bravo, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 14 in 8 innings and gave up 1 earned run.

Bravo, who is a four-time All-Star, moves to 2-1 on the year with 35 strikeouts.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Bravo said.
