Narrow Win Takes Maple Streak to 8
|
Maple Marauders starter Umarah Abdul-Quddus was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the South Carolina Bombers, 4-3. Maple reliever Marcos León picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Juan Manuel took the loss. The win was the 12th in 15 games this season for the Marauders, who appear to be on course for a return trip to the playoffs.
This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the 11th, Gerard Leeder drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Marauders took the lead, 4-3.
"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Maple manager Jesús Alfaro.
