The home team gave the The Nest fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.

Eureka overcame a superlative game from Dylan Butlin to beat Rubber City, 4-3. The Rubber City pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. Eureka reliever Ashoka Pancholi picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-5. Shinzo Sasaki was collared with the loss.

Juan González went 2 for 4 with a double for Eureka. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the tenth inning, González, who is rated as the 36th best prospect by BNN, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Rubber City hurler Shinzo Sasaki, he hit a walk-off run-scoring double to give the Hornets a 4-3 lead.

González said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."

Eureka leads the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division by 2˝ games.
