The Cabo San Lucas Toreros and San Diego Hops obliged those fans who came to Field de Los Layendas hoping for nail-biter.

In a tight contest at Field de Los Layendas, the Cabo San Lucas Toreros edged the San Diego Hops by the score of 5-4. Cabo San Lucas first baseman George Guinn, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Rafael Rodríguez got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings.

Ashis Mudigonda went 3 for 6 with 3 singles for Cabo San Lucas. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the 11th, Mudigonda came through with a run-scoring single. It put the Toreros in front, 5-4.

"I love to hit," said Guinn. "As long as I keep loving it, the game's going to love me back."
