The Maple Marauders thumped the New York Mafia, 9-2, at Legends Park. Kojuro Ine was a big reason his team got the win. Ine went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Ze-dong Zhang, the winner, improved to 8-8. He held the Mafia to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The Marauders bumped their record to 80-60 with this latest triumph.

Ine contributed when he hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth. Coming with two outs and the bases loaded, the home run proved to be critical to helping Maple get the win.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Roberto Campos.
