Mustangs Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Mile High Mustangs topped the Brooklyn Black Knights, 5-3, with youngster Denzel Kemsley playing a key role. Kemsley was 1 for 2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Mustangs in the win. Mile High reliever Les van Kleef got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Tokaji Goto was tagged with the loss. Yoshiki Sato was credited with the save for Mile High, his 5th of the season.
With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Khai Sui hit a go-ahead 2-run double. It was his 27th double of the season and with it the Mustangs took a 4-2 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Kemsley told the Mile High Today.
Mile High has now won 4 straight.
