Prowlers Best Armada in Pitching Duel
The Oklahoma City Prowlers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Lewis Portsmouth, who kept Quebec hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Prowlers win at Memorial Circle Park. Portsmouth went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-0. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Manuel Guerrero.

Jorge Sánchez delivered a big hit for the Prowlers. The veteran first baseman belted a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The longball put Oklahoma City on top, 2-0. Overall, Sánchez was 1 for 3 with a home run.

"We scored one run," said Quebec manager Jorge Morales. "You're not gonna get a lot of Ws scoring just one run."

The win lifts Oklahoma City to a record of 7-6.
