Eureka Hornets starter Prabodh Nimbalkar was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Rubber City Rhinos, 4-2. Ashoka Pancholi closed the game out for Eureka, earning his 38th save. With the win over Rubber City, the Hornets improved to 79-61.

Dennis Mayne provided some punch for the Hornets. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st and Eureka trailing 2-1, he lit into a fastball from James Thompson, sending it out of the park. The 2-run homer put the Hornets up, 3-2.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Mayne told the Eureka Bulletin.
